Masters in Conservation Leadership

The Sansom Conservation Leadership Alumni Fund (SCLA Fund), established through Robert Sansom's generosity, provides crucial support for high-impact conservation projects led by University of Cambridge Masters in Conservation Leadership alumni. The fund, administered by the Masters in Conservation Leadership Team in the Department of Geography, awards grants ranging from £5,000 to £60,000 through a dedicated Selection Panel.

Three groundbreaking projects have received funding this year:

1. Nature Perspectives - An innovative initiative using AI simulations to create meaningful connections with the natural world through nonhuman perspectives

2. Charting a Regenerative Pathway for Tourism in the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador - A project focused on sustainable tourism development

3. Kumisi Lake Restoration - A community-led wetland conservation initiative in Georgia that lays the foundation for long-term environmental protection (link)

We would like to invite you to our upcoming virtual launch meeting on March 13th, where you'll have the opportunity to learn more about our projects and meet the project leads.
