Swapnil has over 12 years of experience in leading conservation and development programs in South Asia, Hindu Kush Himalaya, Africa and Europe. Through his engagement over the years, he has served in different capacities with several local, national and international agencies. Recently he was Regional Program Officer for Kailash Sacred Transboundary Landscape Conservation Program between India, Nepal, and Tibetan Autonomous Region of China where he along with his team brought in several policies and practise changes on managing the biodiversity in high altitude areas of Greater and Trans-Himalayas. He is well travelled and loves enjoying the sheer beauty of the landscapes he works in.
In 2020, he established the Resilience Environmental Solution(RES), a consulting firm, that strengthens capacities of small scale organisations working on natural resources management in South Asia. His current clients are working in ecological restoration of wetland in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve in Nepal; Digital transformation in Agri-forestry ventures and; establishing a for-profit social enterprise that procures and sells NTFP from an indigenous community in India.

Therefore, his work focuses on bringing biodiversity conservation, sustainable development on the table for functional regional cooperation among the countries of the Himalaya.
