UCCLAN Learning opportunities
Context
The Masters received a gift to strengthen and enhance the delivery of our ten-year strategy, of which the second pillar aspires to catalyse the impact of the growing University of Cambridge Conservation Leadership Alumni Network (UCCLAN).
In order to carry this out we are looking to offer continued access to leadership learning for the UCCLAN to support ongoing professional development that builds upon the foundations laid during the Masters programme. We would like to do this in collaboration with UCCLAN members to identify specific training needs. We will offer a pilot phase for implementation, beginning with a rolling submission of requests, done using this online form.
Please note that we are only able to offer pre-existing training material offered by external providers.
Criteria:
- Courses must demonstrate relevance to ongoing leadership development
- Funding can only be used for alumni to participate in courses
- Courses must begin at least 3 months after submission of request
- Courses can be for small numbers, but maximising participation is preferred
- Online is essential unless there are enough alumni in the locality to justify an in-person programme
- Pre-existing training material offered by external providers.
Who makes the decision on what is selected?
- Decisions will be made by the working group in collaboration with the CL Team. Criteria will be value for money (cost vs capacity and impact) and anticipated level of interest
Expected Outcomes
- Enhanced competencies among alumni, leading to more effective conservation practices and leadership in their respective organisations.
First Step
Before we open for applications we are asking UCCLAN members to complete this short Needs Assessment Survey to ascertain funding priorities
